let's see, what's been going on lately. not much. same old thing. i'm a little less of a hermit these days (went out on both friday AND saturday last week...o, and thursday too...haha, i guess it was a busy week). a lotta friends are leaving or have just left or will soon leave hk. it's quite sad actually. one of these days...it'll be our turn =)
people are funny here, they have "going away" parties and dinners and drinks like everyday from the moment they decide they're leaving (which is often months in advance). i guess any excuse to party is a good excuse. but i don't get it, people party anyway, even when there's no reason. this city is crazy. that's all people do. i can't hang.
yah, i really have nothing new to report, just felt like it's been a while since i blogged, so here i am. sorry it wasn't very interesting...

so i just came back from my first real traditional taiwanese wedding. my honey got all dressed up in a suit and tie for a whole 15 minutes. so sad, huh? around wednesday, he found he had to fly off on a business trip the night of the wedding and miss basically the whole thing. sucks. but he did get to go down, say hi to everyone, take a few pictures, and there were festivities all weekend long, which were lotsa fun. friday was the bachelor party (needless to say i didn't go to that one, but i ended up partying longer than they did with my own friends). saturday, they had a dinner for family and out of town guests at din tai fung (the really good xiao long bao place) and then cocktails at a jazz club and then clubbing. then sunday was the actual wedding banquet with drinks, games and dancing at a lounge in the same hotel afterwards. overall, it was a great wedding.
on a side note. for some reason...it seems to me that at every wedding i go to, i'm always sitting at the drunkest, loudest, most embarassing table... it's definitely more fun that way, and i'm SURE it's just a coincidence :)
