gaga in hk

so...i had my first day of work! not only are they making me wear skirts...they're also making me where close-toed shoes!!! grr...this is very not cool.

anyway. so today was "open day" where they just had presentations all day for parents. apparently, to make matters worse, on special days like open day, all the teachers have to wear pink suits! gross.

anyway. so i didn't teach today. i introduced myself to the parents, talked to the prior english teacher...and did arts and crafts! looked through books for material, photocopy, color, cut, and the best part....LAMINATE!!! haha, i'm a geek.

i think i start real teaching on friday...wish me luck!

i'm back!

for those of you who didn't know where i went, i went to maldives for a week, vienna for a week, and new york for 2 weeks, and now i'm back. and i'm so dutiful (or just you could call it pathetic) that i'm blogging before i've even finished unpacking!

i start teaching the day after tomorrow. scary, huh? my baby is in new york still (for work) and will be there until the middle/end of october. i had to come back early for my work. sucks. but i guess i had a long enough vacation (a year, almost exactly). but because of that, i didn't get to visit any of the other places in the US that i wanted to. i didn't even get to see everyone that i wanted to in new york =/ another time i guess...

anyway. i'm dead tired and have a lot to do. just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone.
